Meal worms for birds.
$20 buys meal worms for birds. 90% of animals that come into care are birds who have been hit by cars, flown into windows or fallen out of their nest. Nestlings need constant warmth and feeding every half hour.

Possum and bird boxes.
$50 helps to buy materials to make possum and bird boxes. All possum joeys that come into care need a box which they are eventually released in. Birds also need boxes as many of the trees they use for nesting are being destroyed.

Medication expenses.
Many babies are sick or injured when they come into care and require specialist veterinarian health treatment. A single dose of long-acting antibiotic can cost $200.
